Colibri Premium Butane Fuel Refill for Lighters – 3 pack

Colibri Butane Fuel
Colibri Butane

The Colibri Premium Butane Fuel is a triple refined high grade fuel for your lighter or butane torch.  The difference is the refinement or purity of the gas. The less expensive fuel found at your local grocery store is usually unrefined and has many impurities that will clog your expensive lighters. This will cause issues with your lighter. We only recommend premium refined butane fuel for lighters and torches. The refinement reduces contaminants and will reduce misfires and clogged burner valves.

How to properly fill your butane lighter:

Before refueling, always bleed the fuel tank of any compressed air that remains after the butane was exhausted. If you skip this step the air will reduce the amount of fuel the lighter or torch can hold. This can cause your lighter not to light or sputter. Bleeding the air first, ensures that the proper mix of butane and air is present for a perfect light every time.
To bleed the butane and air from your lighter, using a small screwdriver, turn the lighter upside down and press the refill valve.  Make sure all the air and butane escapes. Always bleed your butane lighter in a well ventilated area away from any flames.
Note: Colibri requires you to use their fuel to keep your lighter under warranty.

Iwatani butane canister (BU-6) is made with the highest levels of quality control.  With safety paramount in all of Iwatani’s products, especially its butane gas products, Iwatani’s butane gas canister has undergone the strictest quality-control tests.  The rim-vent-release (RVR) safety system ensures the release of excess pressure within the canister in the event of abnormal pressure buildup.

The butane canister contains a fuel mixture that has the highest butane purity. This allows for a clean and smooth-burning flame with a consistent output. Other mixtures may contain less butane and other gases such as propane, produce choppy and inconsistent flames.

  • Perfect fuel for the Iwatani Torch or burners
  • Somewhat expensive on Amazon, though you can qualify for free shipping
Probably a lot cheaper to buy it at a local store, if you can find it. I understand most Asian stores stock this fuel.
